Praying for a stranger

On a Wednesday afternoon around 1:30pm, as I was sitting in my office I heard screeching tires and I quickly prayed, “dear Lord I hope everyone is ok..." Then,  I heard the metal sound you hear when a car hits another car. When I went outside, the young lady hit a palm tree. The car was heavily damaged in the front. I quickly called 911 as I approached the car. I reported the accident the paramedics and rescue were on their way. She came out of the car shaken up and appears to be with an injury to the nose as it was red and bleeding. 

It never hurts to pray for a stranger. There are many meanless challenges, but the challenge to pray for a stranger when you hear or see an accident, when you next see someone that is hurting or looks like they are going through something. I challenge you to pray for them. Before passing judgement, silently pray for them. No one has to know, you never know that person may need it, you may prevent a tragedy from happening, you may just save your life or theirs. We all have struggles, my struggles are different from your struggles. At the end of the day, life is sweeter when we can count on each other to make it better. Today, I ask you pray for a stranger. I have been praying for strangers for a few years. This is the first time I am sharing the power it can have on one’s life. I searched and Googled, Praying for Strangers. I was delighted to find out there is a book called, Praying for Strangers: An Adventure of the Human Spirit Book by River Jordan. Definitely, I would like to read this book. Have you read the book?
